Carclo India in Action

Today was a good day.

This morning our CEO Frank and our colleagues from Carclo India site officially opened with  a new local medical centre — bringing access to healthcare to over 10,000 people who previously had little to none. I stood there watching people walk through those doors and felt something that no quarterly result has ever given me.

This is what business responsibility actually looks like in practice.

But today wasn’t just about the opening. I also visited the shelter for underprivileged children — little ones, up to four years old — that Carclo built and handed over to the community two years ago. I wanted to see how the children were doing.

They were doing well. Really well.

Tiny faces, big energy. Laughter. Safety. Warmth. Things every child deserves and things that are too easily taken for granted.

We talk a lot about strategy, margins, and growth in boardrooms. And those things matter. But moments like today remind me why the how of business matters just as much as the what. Companies have the resources, the reach, and the responsibility to give back — not as a PR exercise, but as a genuine commitment to the communities we operate in.

This is Carclo, and Carclo Cares. Not a slogan. A standard we hold ourselves to.

Proud of our team in India realising this. Grateful for the communities that trust us. And hopeful that other businesses will find their own version of this too.

We can build things that matter. Let’s keep doing it.

Best,

Frank Doorenbosch and Team Carclo India
