Vice President of Business Development

We are seeking a Vice President of Business Development to drive new business growth across key markets in the United States.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer -US, this is a senior, front-line commercial leadership role with significant visibility and responsibility. The role has a strong focus on winning new customers, whilst driving new opportunities across the existing Carclo customer portfolio.
Operating as a player-coach, the successful individual will combine hands-on new business development with leadership responsibility as the US commercial footprint scales.
This role will suit a consultative, solutions-led seller with a proven track record of success operating within complex manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
Lead new customer acquisition across the US
Personally identify, develop and close complex, engineering-led opportunities
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new OEM and industrial customers
Position Carclo as a strategic, long-term manufacturing partner
Commercial Strategy and Leadership
Develop and execute the US new business development strategy
Contribute to long-term growth planning and market positioning
Build, mentor and scale a high-performing commercial team
Work closely with Engineering, Operations and technical teams to shape customer solutions
Engage customers at both technical and strategic level
Translate customer challenges into engineered, value-led outcomes
Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, customer needs and competitor activity
Function as the voice of the customer internally to influence capability development
Skills, Experience and Background
Senior B2B sales leadership with significant experience gained within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Strong history of winning new business in the US market
Consultative selling background with exposure to one or more of the following or a related industry:
- Injection moulding
- Tooling
- Automation
- Experience selling complex, engineered solutions rather than commoditized products
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate hands-on in a high growth environment
